Yoga with Me
Wednesday 9.15am & Thursday 7pm
Both are full at present, but if you are interested please get in contact here, as spaces may be freed up from time to time, or I may be the opportunity to start another class.
Individual sessions also available for those who prefer to learn on a one-to-one basis.
What to expect
It doesn’t matter if you have never done yoga before. My class will hopefully benefit everyone in some way, whatever your fitness level or previous experience.
In 90 minutes, we will be exploring moving & breathing with awareness. Finding mobility, strength, stability, balance, space, expansion, & release in the body AND mind, & hopefully having some fun along the way!
My yoga is NOT about perfect posture shapes, & extreme flexibility.
What to bring
Come with the right attitude to reap the most benefit! This time is for YOU. Invest completely in it.
Bring your mat, & any padding or blankets to help make you more comfortable. Blocks, bricks & straps will be provided.
My yoga journey so far
I have always enjoyed keeping myself fit, especially with outdoor exercise (as you might have guessed!), & I have a real love & fascination for the human body in motion. Fitness for me always used to be about the physical body, but as I have grown older, & experienced some periods of debilitating depression & anxiety in my life, I have come to appreciate that mental & emotional wellbeing are as, if not more, important, than the bits we can see. This has drawn me towards a much more holistic approach, & yoga.
After a month in hospital in early 2017, I enrolled on a BWY yoga foundation course to delve deeper & provide some structure & guidance for my own recovery. I would highly recommend it!
This led to the 18 month Scaravelli – inspired yoga teacher training I am currently on.
As a student teacher I am actively encouraged to, & fully insured to be teaching you.
